Detroit vs. New York: A Violent Tale of Two Cities

July 29 (Bloomberg) -- In today's "Single Best Chart," Bloomberg's Scarlet Fu displays the level of violent crime in Detroit in New York City over the past 30 years. She speaks on Bloomberg Television's "Bloomberg Surveillance."

  1. Allow Detroit to enter bankruptcy,..bulldoze it ALL down and start over with "small business entrepreneurism". Detroit Had its chance...and squandered it. Have America's TAXPAYERS "foot the bill" to rebuild what the denizens NEVER took care of to begin with????? NEVER !
    Detroit's politicians should be "tarred & feathered" and run out of town on a rail; they 'pocketed' auto industry profits and investor shares (along with the auto unions) and destroyed "the goose that laid the golden eggs" ...They don't deserve Taxpayer help. Let small business investment try to instill pride and profit into Detroit residents... IF NOT, then let it rot for a couple decades, just like the South Bronx (which was also scavenged and destroyed by its own residents).....
